Lumby

Lumby village was officially incorporated in 1956 though it dates to 1893 when the site was first
surveyed. It was settled in by pioneer farmers and gold miners initially which dated as far back
as 1862 during gold fever in BC. Lumby has maintained its farming and logging economic background only increasing in scale to become the logging and wood capital of North Okanagan.
