Welcome to 1046 Dunbarton Road, a stunning Victorian-style 4+2 bedroom brick executive home with four washrooms nestled on a premium sized lot within Pickering’s historically significant and prestigious Dunbarton neighbourhood.

Built in 2000, on a 347’ deep lot that is 80’ wide at the rear - this exceptional property showcases stone landscaping front and back; a long driveway that continues to a detached double car garage - providing parking for up to twelve vehicles; and a professionally landscaped backyard with a 20’ x 40’ in-ground pool.

The home has been fully updated, freshly painted, and showcases 3,200 sq. ft. of living space, plus a fully developed lower level with 9’ ceilings.

The covered front porch has two separate sitting areas overlooking the front yard - and the entry door opens into a main level finished with new wood look tiled flooring throughout.

Trimmed decor columns provide a stately entry into the formal living and dining rooms. Across the foyer is a spacious den that is also ideal as a home office — and these rooms, as well as the remainder of this level, showcase 9' ceilings, new door and window trims, upgraded baseboards, crown moldings, upgraded light fixtures, as well as large windows with north-, south-, or west-facing exposures.

Above the generously sized family room is a modern farmhouse chandelier, and this space has the added coziness of a gas fireplace.

In the kitchen are metal pendant lights above its breakfast area and its centre island - which has seating and a double wide under mount sink. Newly updated, this superb culinary working space showcases subway-tiled back splashes and quartz counters; white cabinetry with impressive storage that includes a large pantry; under cabinet lighting, plus accent lighting with the floating shelves; as well a stainless steel oven with gas cooktop, a fridge with bottom mount freezer, and a dishwasher.

The sliding door walk-out opens onto a large wood deck with glass railing that overlooks a massive stone patio, and the pool area beyond it.

The main level also features a laundry room that has a front load washer and dryer with a quartz folding counter, plus a secondary entrance from the driveway; a powder room with a contemporary vanity; as well as a double coat closet — and to the upper level is a hardwood staircase with a modern grey and white two-toned finish.

Throughout the upper level is new vinyl plank flooring, new door and window trims, upgraded baseboards and light fixtures, as well as large windows.

All four bedrooms are very spacious, naturally bright, and can accommodate sitting areas - with the third bedroom featuring a walk-in closet; the fourth bedroom has a double closet; and the second bedroom also has a walk-in closet, as well as a lovely chandelier. Shared between these bedrooms is a 5-pc washroom - which features a vanity updated with a new quartz counter.

Through a double door entry is the impressively sized master suite - with this very spacious personal retreat having ample room for one or two seating areas, especially by its huge window that overlooks the backyard. Candelabra-style chandeliers illuminate the bedroom and the dressing area outside of the walk-in closet — while crystal and metal light fixtures glow in the spa-like serenity of the ensuite washroom. Showcasing tiled finishes throughout, with the floor tiles laid on the diagonal - this gorgeous space has decor columns gracing the step-up jetted bath area, the window above the tub having a privacy blind; a vanity updated with a new quartz counter; as well as a separate shower area with glass door - and there is also a linen closet exclusive to this suite.

The lower level is a two bedroom suite that features laminate and tiled flooring; is brightened with elegant light fixtures and pot lighting; as well as crown moldings in most of the rooms. In addition to a cold room and storage under the stairs, there are two bedrooms; a 3-pc washroom; a recreation area with a gas fireplace; and a kitchen showcasing cabinetry with a large pantry and under cabinet lighting; a mosaic glass-tiled back splash; stone counters; stainless steel appliances; a peninsula; as well as a coffered ceiling above the dining room.

The in-ground pool is surrounded by stone landscaping, and beyond the pool is a massive back lawn.

Minutes to highly rated William Dunbar Public School - this home is also just a short drive to the Pickering Town Centre Mall, the GO Station, and has easy access to Hwy 401 - as well as being close to the shopping, entertainment, and waterfront enjoyment of Pickering’s beautiful Frenchman’s Bay community along Lake Ontario.

Pickering

In the fifteenth century, Pickering was home to the Aboriginal group known as the Huron. European settlement began in the area in the early seventeenth century, with most early British settlers moving into the area after defeating the French in the Seven Years’ War. The British named the town Pickering after the town in North Yorkshire, England.

In the early 1810s, there was a large increase of settlement from a large group of Quaker immigrants that came to the area from the Eastern United States. More recently, Toronto’s continuing growth has led to Pickering’s rapid growth.
