Welcome to 1108 Ridgewood Court, an incredibly spacious five bedroom brick home with four washrooms situated within a very family-minded neighbourhood of Pickering’s sought after Liverpool community.

A beautifully landscaped corner property, manicured hedges border the front lawn, while perennial plantings line the interlocking walkway to a glass-enclosed mud room.

The main double entry door is fully panelled with decorative glass inserts - and opens into a foyer with a mirrored door coat closet, and where a set of wood French doors welcomes you into the spacious reception hall.

The reception area is open to the upper level hallway, where a chandelier above the hardwood spiral staircase brings ambient brightness to these spaces - and both the reception hall and the foyer feature ceramic flooring, crown moldings, elegant light fixtures, and chair rail.

Directly off the foyer is the formal living room. Showcasing the first of two wood-burning brick fireplaces in the home and a south-facing turret wall with three windows, this light-filled entertaining space also has the added warmth of hardwood flooring. All the principal rooms on this level are quite generous in their size, as is the den - which is also well-suited as a home office, and features a wood double French door entry, laminate flooring, as well as wood crown moldings and chair rail.

Adjacent to the den is the family room - which showcases the second wood-burning brick fireplace - and with this wonderful gathering space also featuring laminate flooring, as well as an oversized window with backyard views.

Across the hall is a formal dining room finished with the warmth of hardwood flooring - and this spacious yet intimate entertaining space enjoys a beautiful west-facing exposure, with an elegant light fixture complementing the natural brightness - and for entertaining convenience, the dining room also has direct access from the kitchen.

A home designed with large or extended families in mind - the kitchen and its breakfast area offer ample space to meet household needs, while their functionality is a home chef and entertainer’s delight. The bright working space of the kitchen showcases ceiling panel lighting and a ceiling fan; the traditional warmth of wood cabinetry that includes a pantry; the modern sleekness of stainless steel appliances and a double under mount sink; as well as a ceramic tiled back splash and stone countertops with seating at the peninsula. Ceramic flooring finishes this entire space - and from the breakfast area’s sliding door walk-out, the entertaining spills to the outdoors during the warm weather months onto a tiered wood deck with built-in seating in the backyard - which is fenced; landscaped with trees, gardens, and a water feature; and which also has more gardens in the west side yard, as well as a walkway from the front yard on the east side of the home.

The main level additionally features a sunken laundry room, as well as a powder room - both finished with ceramic flooring.

The upper level features hardwood flooring and crown moldings throughout the hallway; and showcases two washrooms, two linen closets, as well as five very spacious bedrooms - all which are finished with laminate flooring.

The second, third, fourth, and fifth bedrooms all have double sized closets with single doors, are filled with natural light, and share the main 5-pc washroom.

The very generously sized master suite has a north-facing window and backyard views; plenty room for a sitting area - and off the hall to its ensuite washroom is a walk-in closet, as well a vanity for everyday convenience. The ensuite itself has a very open layout designed for ease of accessibility, and showcases a corner bath area with walk-in tub; toilet and bidet; a separate shower area; as well as a pedestal sink.

Adding to the impressive family and entertaining spaces of the main and upper levels, is the equally impressive space offered by the fully finished lower level.

A carpeted spiral staircase leads to the lower landing, off of which is a cold room, a combined storage and mechanical room, as well as a wet bar - and there are two separate entries into the massive recreation area. Much of the rec room is carpeted, and with its L-shaped layout, has plenty of space for games and indoor play, conversation areas, as well as a media room; a 3-pc washroom is found off this space; the recreation area also has a distinct space that is ideal for personal use - or for those considering a home-based business.

This home is just a short drive to the Pickering Town Centre Mall, the GO Station, and has easy access to Hwy 401 - as well as being close to the shopping, entertainment, and waterfront enjoyment of Pickering’s beautiful Frenchman’s Bay community along Lake Ontario.

Pickering

In the fifteenth century, Pickering was home to the Aboriginal group known as the Huron. European settlement began in the area in the early seventeenth century, with most early British settlers moving into the area after defeating the French in the Seven Years’ War. The British named the town Pickering after the town in North Yorkshire, England.

In the early 1810s, there was a large increase of settlement from a large group of Quaker immigrants that came to the area from the Eastern United States. More recently, Toronto’s continuing growth has led to Pickering’s rapid growth.
