Welcome to 514 Norfolk Square, a beautifully updated 3+2 bedroom home with four washrooms nestled in a quiet, family-minded neighbourhood of west Pickering’s sought-after Amberlea community.

Enhancing its curb appeal - the driveway, as well as the front walkway, terrace, and steps are finished with new stone interlocking that compliments the brick exterior; and an upgraded glass-enclosed front entrance is not only much more visually appealing, but also provides protection from inclement weather while accessing the garage.

The main level showcases upgraded hardwood flooring throughout; pot lighting and contemporary light fixtures; as well as light-diffusing zebra blinds on most of the windows. A modern colour palette and crisp white trim work bring an aura of elegance to the principal rooms - all which have their defined spaces - yet there is an ease of flow throughout this level that suits itself for large informal get-togethers, or for more intimate soirées.

The formal entertaining spaces of the living and dining rooms are across the hall from each other - the dining room showcasing a modern farmhouse chandelier, a south-facing bay window, and direct access into the kitchen.

The kitchen is fully open to the sunken family room - which has a garden door walk-out onto the backyard’s two-tiered deck, and the coziness of a gas fireplace surrounded by media and display shelves.

Stunningly updated - the chef’s kitchen showcases cabinetry finished with crown moldings, a large pantry, and accent lighting that accentuates a stone-tiled back splash; a stainless steel French door fridge, dishwasher, a double under mount sink, built-in microwave, and gas range; quartz counters; as well as an island with seating and glass globe pendant lighting. Off the kitchen is another walk-out — this one having sliding doors with interior blinds that opens onto the upper tier of the deck, which is covered and has two skylights - the deck overlooking a large, pie-shaped backyard with evergreen shrubs and other perennials along the wood fence-line.

Curving gracefully to the upper level is a hardwood staircase - this level showcasing hardwood flooring throughout; three naturally bright bedrooms - all which have light-diffusing zebra blinds on their windows, as well as upgraded light fixtures; and two beautifully updated washrooms.

A linen closet is located between the second and third bedrooms - both which are comfortable in size and have double closets with mirrored doors; while the main 3-pc washroom features upgraded tiles finishing its floor and glass shower, as well as an updated vanity with a quartz counter.

A neutral decor and soft natural light through a north-facing window gives the master suite a fresh airy atmosphere - with this spacious retreat also showcasing a walk-thru closet complete with organizers that provides access to the ensuite washroom. This spa-like space is finished with upgraded tiled finishes throughout; has a glass shower with rainfall and hand-held shower heads; a soaker tub with a hand-held shower, as well; pot lighting and wall sconces; as well as an updated vanity with a quartz counter.

The main level hallway also has a double coat closet, and a French door to access the staircase to the finished lower level - and tucked away for privacy off the staircase’s mid-landing is a powder room with a Euro vanity and upgraded floor tiles.

Off the lower level landing is a bonus room ideal as a private home office or bedroom - this level also featuring storage under the staircase; a combined furnace and laundry room with a stacked front load washer and dryer; a spacious bedroom with a double closet, and an ensuite washroom with tiled finishes, a corner glass shower, and a pedestal sink; as well as a nicely sized entertainment space with pot lighting - laminate flooring finishing the recreation area, with the bar area having easy-care vinyl flooring.

A short walk to Highbush Public School, Amberlea Park, and the Amberlea Shopping Centre; as well as being minutes from St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Elementary, Dunbarton High, and St. Mary Catholic Secondary Schools - this home is also just a short drive to the Pickering Town Centre Mall, the GO Station, and has easy access to Hwy 401 - as well as being close to the shopping, entertainment, and waterfront enjoyment of Pickering’s beautiful Frenchman’s Bay community along Lake Ontario.

Pickering

In the fifteenth century, Pickering was home to the Aboriginal group known as the Huron. European settlement began in the area in the early seventeenth century, with most early British settlers moving into the area after defeating the French in the Seven Years’ War. The British named the town Pickering after the town in North Yorkshire, England.

In the early 1810s, there was a large increase of settlement from a large group of Quaker immigrants that came to the area from the Eastern United States. More recently, Toronto’s continuing growth has led to Pickering’s rapid growth.
