Clearview wurde am 1. Januar gegründet, 2014 als die Städte in der Umgebung einschließlich der Ortschaft Creemore, der Stadt Stayner und die Townships von Nottawasaga und Sunnidale amalgamiert wurden.
Creemore gründete seine erste Siedlung im Jahre 1842, während frühe Besiedlung auf dem Gebiet Stayner ereigneten sich zwischen 1851 und 1855, als eine Eisenbahnlinie zwischen Toronto, Ontario und Collingwood, Ontario gebaut wurde.
Landwirtschaft und Lumber waren die beiden größten Geschäfte in Stayner und half es schnell zu einem größeren und entwickeln Stadt in der Region etabliert. Es wurde im Jahre 1872 als ein Dorf gegründet und eine Stadt im Jahre 1888. Creemore als Dorf im Jahre 1889 gegründet wurde.
Nottawasaga und Sunnidale wurden als Gemeinden früh (1851 und 1858 jeweils) aufgenommen, allerdings mit einer Rate von Stayner nicht wachsen und blieb Gemeinden bis zur Fusion im Jahr 1994 die historische Geschichte Überzeugen Sie sich selbst und entdecken!
