Collingwood

Collingwood a été incorporé comme une ville en 1858. Il a été nommé d'après l'amiral Lord Cuthbert Collingwood , qui était commandant en second à la bataille de Trafalgar .

La région a accueilli les colons européens et des esclaves dans les années 1840 . Cela signifiait un riche mélange de religion et la culture dans la région .

Collingwood économie centrée autour de la construction navale . Le Collingwood Shipyards a été l'un des plus grands employeurs de la ville , en utilisant autant que 10 % de la population active totale .
