Welcome to 1051 Orenda Street - a brand new five bedroom, four bathroom home situated in the Lamoureaux neighbourhood of central north Pickering’s up-and-coming Seaton community.

This brick and stone home features a double car garage; an arched portico with a double door entry; as well as an exceptional open concept main level layout with 9’ ceilings and new pot lighting throughout.

Off the main hall is a powder room with a pedestal sink and ceramic flooring; while the hallway’s dark hardwood flooring is continued into the incredibly spacious living and dining rooms.

Having an aura of elegance, and the warmth of a gas fireplace - these beautifully combined rooms are well-suited for either intimate or large scale gatherings, and also have a fluidity of space that allows the rooms to be re-arranged as entertaining needs require - and both are fully open to the kitchen area.

Finished with ceramic flooring, and a gorgeous modern mix of light, dark, and stainless steel - the kitchen showcases dark-coloured Shaker-style cabinetry with upgraded hardware that is set against a light-coloured tiled back splash and quartz counters; the centre island has seating and a double under mount sink; complementing the cabinetry storage is a walk-in pantry; and both the French door fridge and the oven with smooth cooktop are brand new - as are the remote controlled light-diffusing zebra blinds seen on the breakfast area’s sliding door walk-out to the backyard space, and the living room’s west-facing window.

The main level also features a sunken ceramic-tiled foyer with a double coat closet, a secondary coat closet, access to the garage, stairs to an unfinished lower level that has a cold room; as well as a hardwood staircase with wrought iron pickets to the upper level.

The upper level has the coziness of plush broadloom throughout; five spacious bedrooms and three washrooms; a large linen closet; and a laundry room.

The fifth bedroom features a vaulted ceiling above its two arched windows, while the adjacent fourth bedroom has a raised ceiling above its arched windows. This bedroom also has semi-private access to a 5-pc Jack-and-Jill washroom that features a water closet with a bath and shower area - and like the other two washrooms, has ceramic-tiled finishes and a vanity with quartz counter. The third bedroom shares access to the Jack-and Jill washroom - and this bedroom, as well as at the fourth and fifth bedrooms additionally feature ample closet storage.

The laundry room has a ceramic-tiled floor; the linen closet is close at hand to this space, as well as the main 4-pc washroom; and completing the common-use area is the second bedroom, which features a double closet.

The very generously sized west-facing master suite showcases a coffered ceiling, ample space for a sitting area, and two walk-in closets - while a grand double door entry opens into its spa-like ensuite washroom, which has a glass shower with rainfall shower head and a pot light; a soaker tub with a window above it; and the traditional elegance of a Shaker-style vanity with under mount basins.

A very short walk to neighbourhood parks; close to the the Seaton Hiking Trail; and within the catchment area of Frenchman’s Bay Public, St. Monica Catholic Elementary, Dunbarton High, and St. Mary Catholic Secondary Schools for their French Immersion programs, as well as Westcreek Public School - this home is also just a short drive to the Pickering Town Centre Mall, the GO Station, and has easy access to Hwy 401 - as well as being close to the shopping, entertainment, and waterfront enjoyment of Pickering’s beautiful Frenchman’s Bay community along Lake Ontario.

Pickering

In the fifteenth century, Pickering was home to the Aboriginal group known as the Huron. European settlement began in the area in the early seventeenth century, with most early British settlers moving into the area after defeating the French in the Seven Years’ War. The British named the town Pickering after the town in North Yorkshire, England.

In the early 1810s, there was a large increase of settlement from a large group of Quaker immigrants that came to the area from the Eastern United States. More recently, Toronto’s continuing growth has led to Pickering’s rapid growth.
