Ramara

ref. 1.1

Formerly, the townships of Rama and Mara were two separate townships, and were joined together to form Ramara. Rama Township, before it amalgamated with Mara Township, was separated to create the Mnjikaning First Nation 32 Indian Reservation, home to the Chippewas of Mnjikaning First Nation. The main area of the reservation is referred to as Rama as well, and houses the area’s largest attraction, Casino Rama.
